Shingle Roofing Installation FAQs

Answers to the Most Common Questions Homeowners Ask
How long does a shingle roof last in Florida?

Most architectural shingle roofs last about 15–25 years in Florida, depending on ventilation, installation quality, storm exposure, and maintenance. We’ll inspect your roof and tell you if you need a full replacement or if repairs can buy you time.

Sometimes it’s allowed, but we usually recommend a tear-off. A tear-off lets us inspect the decking, fix hidden damage, and install the underlayment and flashings correctly so the new roof performs the way it should.

Most homes take 1–2 days for the install once materials are on-site. Larger or more complex roofs can take longer, especially if we find decking that needs to be replaced or weather delays the process.

A proper quote typically includes permit, tear-off and disposal, underlayment/dry-in, shingles, ridge cap, flashing/drip edge (as needed), ventilation work (if required), and full cleanup. We provide a clear written estimate so you know exactly what’s included before work starts.
